Breakfast is such a pain in the butt trying to come up with quick easy ideas for the morning to get them up and out the door. I’m here to tell you that there is an easy way to have quick nutritious food for breakfast without any cooking at all. This healthy oats recipe will set you up for a great day of productive eating in the morning.
Healthy Oatmeal – This quick oats recipe is super easy and fast. All you need are a few different types of nuts and a few different sizes of blender. All you do is blend up all your ingredients together and place the mix into your blender until it looks like a paste. You can strain this mixture into a Tupperware container or put it into your mouth and chew. The best part is that this tasty breakfast food is made in less than 2 minutes!

Maple Syrup – This is one of my favorite quick oats recipes because it is so delicious and so healthy. I use a sweetener like a maple syrup, but organic honey is fine too. The nice thing about this recipe is that you can eat the syrup as is or you can replace some of the honey with more of a sweetener such as an agave nectar which is better for you. Agave nectar is better because it’s healthier and tastes much better than maple syrup.
Quinoa – This is a quick oats recipe for breakfast that I love to prepare for my family. If you’re looking for a delicious flavor in your oatmeal, then try quinoa. This flavorful grain comes from the arid climate of the Andes Mountains. It is a type of seed that is easy to digest and has a very mild taste. It has a rich flavor that many find delightful.
Cook Your Own Oatmeal – If you’re a little lazy like me, then you can also make quick oats at home and cook it the same way that you would cook steel-cut oats in the oven. Simply start by roasting the grains in a pan over low heat. Allow them to get hot before removing them from the pan. Just be sure not to overcook them or else your breakfast will be bitter and you’ll have to throw out the whole lot before you can eat it again!
A Much Ado
There are many other choices you can make when making a quick oats recipe. Some people like to add nuts and different types of spices to their quick oats, and others like to freeze their breakfast. You can find quick oats in various styles at your local grocery store or health food store. For a quick-cooking oats recipe, try freezing the grain until you need it then thaw it out and serve it that way.
My favorite quick oats recipe is made from frozen blueberries. I take about one cup of blueberries, about two cups of water, and about two minutes to grind them up. Then, mix together three tablespoons of dried cranberries and one tablespoon of dried pineapple juice. This breakfast is so delicious, I will usually take a package of the powder with me instead of fresh fruit because it’s so much faster. It cooks fast enough for a snack in about 2 minutes, which makes it delicious any time you need a quick pick-me-up!
As with any kind of quick oats, if you over-indulge, the cereal will become bulky and heavy. This happens to be my biggest problem when I’m using flour in creating pancakes. If you don’t have a very quick oats recipe, then I suggest trying a combination of dried cranberries and pineapple to save you some time. You can also make a fruit salad for an easy breakfast, which is just a mix of apples, carrots, peaches, and cranberries.
